Product Snapshot

  • What Is It? Sound Sensor Spotlights are lights that you can put up and will turn on when they detect noise, such as talking or fingers snapping or hands clapping.
  • Who Are They Good For? Sound Sensor Spotlights help anyone who hates going into a dark closet, hallway, garage or other space and fishing around for the light.
  • How Much Are They? We found Sound Sensor Spotlights for $9, but we saw them retailing for up to $13.
  • Where Can I Buy One? Sound Sensor Spotlights are available at Amazon.com.

The Sound Sensor Spotlights turn on lights in dark spaces with sound sensors. We've all walked into a dark closet, hallway or garage and fished around for the light switch. This situation, which is annoying for many of us, can turn dangerous, especially for the elderly who may have additional issues, like balance or vision problems or just have a harder time adjusting their eyes from light to dark. You can help them see better with an easy, simple and "green" touch—the Sound Sensor Spotlights.

Sound Sensor Spotlights can be mounted onto any surface, including outdoors, and offers an adjustable angle so the light points where you need it most. The sensor is activated by noise, such as talking, whistling, clapping hands, snapping fingers and other noises that are easy for most of us to make. The light turns on for 30 seconds and then goes out. It runs on 3 AAA batteries.

Sound Sensor Spotlights is quite handy but I feel it does not stay long enough to be able to utilize its purpose - especially for elderly use.
